Manene Collection

Jakks Mini Plush

Picture
(2007)

My first Jakks plushie, and the first Mime Jr item I ever bought or even saw.

So it's responsible for this entire collection~

Jakks Throw Ball

Picture
(2009)

Bought him in-store, so he was $12, but... Completely worth it.

Since he's so small, I've decided I'll always keep him in the pokeball he came with.

Pokemon Center Pokedoll

Picture
(2005 - left, 2009 - right)

On the left is probably a bootleg. Couldn't resist, though, since it was only $5.

I've decided to keep the official one in its bag, so it will never get damaged.

The shape of the eyes, the softness of the material, and the shade of red used seem to be the major differences. I think the hands are formed a little differently too.

Banpresto Knitted Plush

Picture
(2005)

The larger version of the two. I'm still on the lookout for the smaller one that seems to be labeled as a Christmas ornament.

I'll... Be honest and admit I don't know if this one's legit or not. Its tag did come with a ShoPro4 sticker on it though.

Banpresto Yawaraka Pokemon Plush - Series 2

Picture
(2005)

The one with the tag is legit for sure. At least one of the other two is as well.

Though I only meant to buy one, they keep showing up in lots that have others I need.

Banpresto Korotto Manmaru Plush

Picture
(2005)

This one took a really long time to find at a reasonable price. When I did finally get one, it was in a lot that brought me my second yawaraka Mime Jr.

Banpresto Movie Version Plush

Picture
(2005)

Poor little beat up things. I keep hoping that one day I'll finally get one that still has the pompom on the top of its hat.

Since they're so old and damaged, I have no way of knowing if either is legit.

Banpresto Movie Version Plush - Series 2

Picture
(2005)

I'm amazed that I actually managed to get one in perfect condition. Took a few tries though. For some reason I can't resist these plushies.

Banpresto Super DX Big-Face Plush

Picture
(2005)

... I think I liked them more before I translated that name.

There's a chance the one on the left is bootleg, but the one on the right lying down is definitely legit. They're probably the most perfect, cuddly, Mime Jr plushies out there. I thought I was lucky enough just having one, but another came in a lot on YJ that I managed to win for only 600 yen.

Super DX Pokedoll

Picture
This was my ultimate grail since forever!

After searching everywhere, I finally found one person who had it, but no matter how much I offered, it didn't seem to be enough. It took offering $350 to get a yes, and then... I found one on Y!J for 1400 yen. So went after that instead. I could've used my friend's service and gotten it without any commission, but I wanted Crescent's security where no other users can bid on the same item. In the end, after all fees and shipping, it was only $60.

TOMY Fuwatto Pokemon Plush

Picture
(2005)

This guy was a mini grail of mine for quite a while. Everywhere I searched he was about $40.

Finally found him nice and cheap on Amazon, but like with the Flip-top catcher, I couldn't get it out of the states without ridiculous shipping charges. That same amazing friend got him for me, and he's been my favourite plushie since.

Unlabeled Bandai Plush

Picture
(2005)

Is this the mascot plush, maybe? All I know is they were the hardest to track down. It wasn't price that was the issue-- They just didn't seem to exist anywhere.

I'd grabbed two in a GA, where I couldn't tell from the picture just what they were. So when I found one in a lot on YJ, I still went after it. Only after winning did I find out I had them.
